It's been a minute since I've posted to the blog, but I have an AWESOME one this week to make up for my time away! So grab some snacks, a blanket, maybe even some tissues for this one, and get ready!! It's a good one!!
As a photographer based in North Georgia, I'm constantly amazed by the stories that unfold through my lens. Recently, I had the honor of documenting a truly magical moment that started as a couples session and blossomed into an unexpected marriage proposal—all against the stunning backdrop of the wildflower fields at Prospect Farms in Lawrenceville, Georgia!
Let me set the scene for you. Picture this: a picturesque afternoon, vibrant wildflowers swaying in the breeze, and a couple radiating joy and love. Little did our soon-to-be bride know, this session was about to take a heart-pounding turn!
How The Magic Happened
You see, she had booked the session, excited to capture some beautiful memories with her significant other. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, her best friend (and partner in crime) had been covertly scheming with me for months to pull off the surprise of a lifetime. It was my first-ever marriage proposal shoot, and let's just say, the stakes were high, the nerves were real, but the excitement? Through the roof!
The Perfect Setting:
This couple loves all thing classic and vintage! Picnics under a shaded tree, bike rides down a beautiful path! So we had to have a picnic setup for them! As I clicked away, capturing their genuine connection and the breathtaking surroundings, I couldn't help but marvel at the unfolding story. The moment finally arrived—cue the nerves and adrenaline! With a perfectly timed signal to the boyfriend, the surprise proposal unfolded like a scene from a romance movie!
In that split second, amidst laughter, tears, and an enthusiastic "YES!", my lens captured not just a proposal, but a chapter in their love story that they'll cherish forever. It was a privilege to freeze that moment in time and be part of their journey towards forever.
We then moved on to the gorgeous Wildflower Fields at Prospect Farms for an ENGAGEMENT SESSION!!
